60% of Copec stations are now equipped with satellite internet

The company is developing the connectivity of its commercial network in Chile using Starlink satellite technology.

Copec has succeeded in connecting more than 60% of its gas station network in Chile through the implementation of fiber optic and Starlink satellite technology.

This project offers an opportunity to improve the customer experience and offer a stable and secure connection in rural and remote areas of the country. The deployment started with stations in areas with the greatest connectivity problems and has been expanded to more traditional locations.

This initiative has a profound impact on the surrounding communities as the improved connectivity will bring internet access to the surrounding area, enabling faster transactions and greater digital stability.

In addition, it contributes to the quality of life of local residents by providing important technological infrastructure for their development.

Starlink is a satellite technology developed by SpaceX that uses a constellation of low-orbit satellites to provide high-speed, low-latency internet access to remote and rural areas. Using this technology, Copec remains committed to continuously improving its services and strengthening its network of over 670 sites.
