93.7 The Fan hosts the Steelers deal rumors for the new WR target

Steelers commentator and 93.7 The Fan host Andrew Fillipponi pumped up the proverbial “Pittsburgh trades for WR.” The Fillipponi trade rumor in question focuses on the Panthers trying to move on from former three-time Pro Bowler and former All-Pro WR Adam Thielen. This isn’t the first trade that Pittsburgh has been linked to, as Omar Khan and the Steelers organization attempted to trade for both WR Brandon Aiyuk and WR Davante Adams but ultimately failed.

Thielen is currently on IR after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 3. The earliest he can return is the Carolina Panthers’ Week 8 game against the Denver Broncos on Oct. 27. Could the Panthers activate Thielen and trade him between that date and the November 5 trade deadline?

Fillipponi asked Steel City fans on social media if the team should pursue the former Vikings receiver.
