Deion Sanders threatens to fire players who refuse to celebrate responsibly

After Colorado’s thrilling 38-31 overtime win, head coach Deion Sanders delivered an important message to his team in the locker room. After the win, Sanders urged his players to celebrate responsibly and warned them not to make poor decisions that could result in consequences.

“Let’s not go out and do anything crazy that might provoke the police to arrest you,” Sanders told his team via Well Off Media. He further explained that such actions could result in expulsion from the team. His words reflect his commitment to not only winning, but also ensuring that his players maintain discipline and integrity off the field.

The Buffaloes had every reason to celebrate, especially after a hard-fought comeback victory. Colorado trailed by 14 points in the first half, but rallied late in regulation with a spectacular 43-yard touchdown pass to LaJohntay Wester as time expired, sending the game into overtime. Once there, Colorado running back Micah Welch sealed the win with a one-yard touchdown run. The game ended when Baylor dropped the ball on a crucial first-and-goal play, giving Colorado the win.

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders had a stellar performance, throwing for 341 yards and two touchdowns. His teammate, two-way star Travis Hunter, also shone with seven catches for 130 yards and contributed three tackles on defense. Hunter’s versatility continues to impress, as he is in the midst of his fifth consecutive 100-yard receiving game, making him a strong contender for the Heisman Trophy.

The Buffaloes will look to keep their momentum going when they face UCF next Saturday (3:30 p.m./TV: FOX), and Coach Prime’s reminder to celebrate his wins responsibly underscores his leadership qualities and the need for the team to stay focused as the season progresses.
