According to Down Detector, thousands of Australians have reported problems with the PlayStation Network.

It’s unclear what’s causing the issue, but interestingly, there was a bug this morning that caused game messages to appear as backgrounds on the PS5. PlayStation tweeted that this bug has been fixed. While that may be the case, it may have broken the PlayStation Network in the process.

At the time of writing, PlayStation has not yet confirmed the PSN outage, but we’ll keep you posted if anything significant changes or emerges.
