Are the Dallas Cowboys a top ten team?

Are the Dallas Cowboys a top ten team?

Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season is almost upon us and it was a good week for the Dallas Cowboys. There was a lot of movement in the NFL Power Rankings this week and the Cowboys were one of those teams moving.

Here are the NFL power rankings ahead of Week 6:

Andy Dalto

Not even Andy Dalton could save the Carolina Panthers from a 36-10 loss to the Chicago Bears. The Panthers are once again the worst team in the NFL.

The New England Patriots are doing poorly in their current rebuild. Sunday’s loss was the worst of the week and this team shows no signs of improving.

There will be no winless teams in the NFL this season, so it’s time for Jacksonville Jaguars fans to celebrate. The Jaguars’ victory was also celebrated by everyone who had the over with the final score of 37:34.

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans had a bye week, but that didn’t stop the team from finishing in the bottom five of the Power Rankings. Maybe things will look different after week 6.

Cleveland Brown

Peter Casey-Imagn Images

If you look up the definition of dumpster fire in the dictionary, you’ll probably see the Cleveland Browns logo.

It’s chaos in Cleveland and there’s no sign of things getting better.

Daniel Jones

Joe Nicholson-Imagn Images

The New York Giants showed no signs of a hangover after their loss to the Dallas Cowboys. In fact, the team showed signs of new life with a Week 5 road win in Seattle.

Garnder Minshe

The Las Vegas Raiders have no stability at quarterback, and it shows. The Raiders were defeated by the Denver Broncos on Sunday and the team’s season appears to be all but over.

Matthew Stafford

Robert Hanashiro-Imagn Images

The Los Angeles Rams are once again plagued by injuries this season. But how many years in a row can this excuse be used before someone in the franchise hits the panic button?

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals allowed another win to elude them, putting the franchise’s 2024 postseason hopes on life support.

New England Patriot

The Miami Dolphins earned a victory over the New England Patriots in Week 5. However, this team is a train wreck due to the absence of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Denver Bronco

Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images

The Denver Broncos would not lose despite the setbacks. The Broncos dismantled the Raiders as the franchise becomes one of the surprise teams in the NFL.

New York jet

Shaun Brooks-Imagn Images

The New York Jets were betting that a 40-year-old quarterback would return from an Achilles tendon injury to lead them to the promised land. However, the season is going exactly as you would imagine: a 40-year-old quarterback has returned from an Achilles tendon injury.

Joe Flacc

Even with an outstanding performance from Joe Flacco, the Indianapolis Colts were unable to make a comeback against the Jaguars. The Colts are another team that seems to be stuck in purgatory.

Caleb William

Daniel Bartel-Imagn Images

Was the Chicago Bears’ stellar Week 5 performance a facade because the team was playing the Panthers? I guess only time will tell, but for now the bears’ stock is rising.

Arizona Cardinal

Darren Yamashita-Imagn Images

The Arizona Cardinals put together an offensive attack with their win over the San Francisco 49ers. The game was just another reminder of how deadly the Cardinals can be on any given week.

New Orleans Saint

Jay Biggerstaff-Imagn Images

The New Orleans Saints had the unfortunate obligation of playing the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. Saints fans had a bad night, but at least they looked good doing it.

Los Angeles Chargers

Kirby Lee Imagn Images

The Los Angeles Chargers had a bye week in Week 5, or as head coach Jim Harbaugh called it, an opportunity to get better.

Philadelphia Eagles

Nathan Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images

The Philadelphia Eagles were one of four teams to have a bye week in Week 5. The Eagles are back in action this week, taking on the train wreck that is the Browns.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Barry Reeger-Imagn Images

The Pittsburgh Steelers were just one defensive stop away from a completely different ranking this week. However, the Steelers appear to be just one Russell Wilson resurrection away from becoming title contenders.

San Francisco 49ers

Darren Yamashita-Imagn Images

Are things starting to fall apart for the San Francisco 49ers? It appears the reigning NFC champions still have a lot of ground to make up if they have any hope of another Super Bowl appearance.

Geno Smith

Steven Bisig-Imagn Images

The Seattle Seahawks lost their second straight game as they lost to the New York Giants on Sunday. The NFC West is developing into a very exciting division.

Kirk cousin

Brett Davis-Imagn Images

The Atlanta Falcons have become one of the hottest teams in the league. Their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5 may have put the rest of the NFC on notice as the Falcons look like a real contender.

Dallas Cowboys

Barry Reeger-Imagn Images

The Dallas Cowboys are putting together a series of great performances. On Sunday evening, the team entered the game struggling defensively, but only allowed the Steelers 17 points.

The Green Bay Packers’ win on Sunday made it official: Everyone in the NFC North has a winning record heading into Week 6. The Black-Blue division may be the toughest in the entire NFL.

Buffalo Bill

Thomas Shea-Imagn Images

A coaching error cost the Buffalo Bills their second loss in as many weeks. A showdown with the Jets in Week 6 will determine the path the Bills take for the remainder of 2024.

Baker Mayfield

Brett Davis-Imagn Images

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Thursday night. However, the Buccaneers are proving once again this season that they have everything it takes to be a playoff team.

Washington Commander

Geoff Burke-Imagn Images

The biggest surprise of the NFL season was the Washington Commanders’ hot start. The main reason for this hot start is rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Commanders won’t be an easy win for the Cowboys this season.

Lamar Jackson

Cara Owsley/The Enquirer/USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Baltimore Ravens’ 0-2 start is now a distant memory as the team has won its last three games. The Ravens appear to be on a mission this season. Unfortunately, a really good team will stand in their way.

Houston Texans

Troy Taormina-Imagn Images

New threads, same strong offensive. The Houston Texans are 4-1 on the young season and appear to be the team everyone expected to take the next step.

Detroit Lions

Kimberly P. Mitchell/USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Cowboys’ Week 6 opponent had a bye week in Week 5. However, the Detroit Lions have looked impressive up to this point in the season. Sunday should be fireworks for both fan bases.

Minnesota Vikings

Kirby Lee Imagn Images

The Minnesota Vikings are one of two undefeated teams in the NFL, which no one expected. If quarterback Sam Darnold can continue his current play, who’s to say the Vikings can’t make noise in the postseason?

Patrick Mahome

Denny Medley-Imagn Images

Watching a Kansas City Chiefs game has become almost boring. We know what the outcome will be, and yet everyone believes it could be different. The Chiefs are a dynasty that shows no signs of slowing down.
