McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme offer free donuts

Krispy Kreme (DNUT) is currently offering its iconic Original Glazed Free donut to anyone who presents a McDonald’s receipt at participating Krispy Kreme stores nationwide by October 14th.

The bakery company plans to bring its donuts to McDonald’s in Chicago on October 15 as part of a larger strategy to roll out its sweet treats to the fast-food chain’s locations nationwide by the end of 2026. The duo announced this at the end of March Join forces, exciting investors.

North Carolina-based Krispy Kreme said it aims to serve fresh donuts daily at over 1,000 McDonald’s locations by the end of this year, with plans to reach a total of 12,000 locations by the end of 2026.

The donut maker didn’t specify why it’s focusing on Chicago, but as part of this launch, McDonald’s will offer three Krispy Kreme options in the city: Original Glazed, Chocolate Frosted with Sprinkles and Chocolate Frosted with Kreme Filling.

As Krispy Kreme rolls out the donuts, McDonald’s is also trying to get people excited about its own new menu item: Chicken Big Mac. However, the reactions from customers were pretty mixed. Some customers claim that the special sandwich doesn’t quite match theirs Online imageswhile others say it is inadequate Taste department. Others want one spicy option.

If McDonald’s Chicken Big Mac leaves U.S. customers feeling disappointed, partnering with Krispy Kreme could be a way to get back on its feet. Some customers also consider a late-night Domino’s pizza to make the most of their fast food experience.

Earlier this week, Domino’s announced the return of its popular “Emergency pizza” campaign, first launched in 2023.

As part of the offer, customers can receive a free medium, two-topping pizza when ordering online or for digital takeout and spending $7.99 or more. The Offer is available until January 19, 2025 and must be redeemed within 30 days through a customer’s Domino’s Rewards account.
