Early voting begins tomorrow in Florida for the 2024 election. Here’s how to cast your vote.

Early Vote in Florida for the Election 2024 starts soon. Registered voters can go to any location designated by their county as an early voting center and cast a paper ballot as they would on Election Day.

Registered voters can also cast their votes Ballot by mail or cast mail-in ballots – or go to the polls on November 5th.

As part of Florida’s election reform legislation, early voting has been an option in the state since 2002. as is the case in many states across the country.

When does early voting start and end in Florida?

Early voting dates and times vary in Florida.

The state says early voting begins at least the 10th day before Election Day (October 26) and ends on the third day before Election Day (November 2), although election officials may offer additional early voting on the 15th, 14th, 13th, and 12th, 11th . or second day before the election, according to the Florida Department of State. That means the last day for early voting in some areas may not be until November 3rd.

  • For Miami-Dade County, early voting runs from October 21st to November 3rd. Opening hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m
  • For Broward County, early voting runs from October 21st to November 3rd. Opening hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m
  • For Monroe County, early voting runs from October 21st to November 3rd. Opening hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

To vote in person, voters must provide a valid photo ID with their signature. If you don’t bring a valid ID, you can still vote with a provisional ballot. It counts if the signature on the provisional ballot matches the signature on the registration record. Different types of identification are permitted.

Where can mail-in ballots be dropped off early in Florida?

Florida voters who requested one Vote by mail Voters can mail their ballot or drop it off in a secure mailbox at their county election office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Voters can also drop off their ballot in a secure drop box at early voting locations.

To find out where and when mail-in ballots can be dropped off at secure drop boxes, voters can visit their county’s election supervisor’s website. Information on election officials for each county – including Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, Orange and Palm Beach counties – can be found here.

A bill was passed in the 2024 legislative session that would have allowed absentee voting only for those unable to vote on Election Day, or early voting.

How to find early voting locations in your county in Florida

The 67 district returning officers select the locations for early voting. You can find your county on the Secretary of State’s website. Voters may vote at any early voting location in their county.

Ballots can be filled out at the Returning Officer’s offices.

Does Florida release early voting results before Election Day?

Election offices will tabulate ballots, but the information will not be released until polls close at 7 p.m. Early votes are generally the first votes included in the total number of votes cast.

The offices publicly publish the number of ballots cast and the individual parties.

What’s on the ballot in Florida for the 2024 election?

In addition to the presidential election, Florida voting includes races for: the U.S. Senate, all 28 congressional districts, six Florida constitutional amendment proposals, 40 Florida Senate districts, 120 House districts, county school boards and county offices. The two amendments that have garnered the most attention are Amendments 3 and 4, which decide on marijuana legalization and abortion rights in the state.

Two of seven Florida Supreme Court justices and some circuit and district judges are also on the ballot for a new election.
