The worst chain restaurant in the USA has 13 locations in Indiana

Do you think you know which restaurant chain was recently named the worst in the United States?

Indiana has many great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become a staple in the area and people have to go to them when they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become must-visit places. Whether it is comfort food, burgers, chicken, seafood, Italian or Mexican food, steakhouses or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out from the rest. Everyone has their familiar regular restaurants that they like to eat at.

However, not all restaurant chains are the same, are they? Some are definitely better than others and there are some that are strictly avoided. So which restaurant chain is the worst in the United States? Well, that’s kind of subjective. However, the website Far & Wide recently ranked the worst chain restaurants in America. Let’s see if you agree.

The worst chain restaurant in the USA has 13 locations in Indiana

Travel website Far & Wide recently ranked the worst chain restaurants (excluding fast food) in the United States, from “nope” to “I’d rather eat week-old leftovers.” The article doesn’t provide a methodology for the rating, so it sounds like it’s just personal preference. But again, a list of the best and worst restaurants is purely subjective because we don’t all like the same things. That’s why there’s such a wide variety of restaurants out there.

However, according to Far & Wide, the worst chain restaurant in the United States is none other than Golden Corral. The all-you-can-eat buffet currently has 13 locations in the Hoosier State. What makes this the worst chain restaurant in the country (aside from the negative stigmas that buffets often have)?

The article said:

We love buffets as much as the next guy, but Golden Corral is a bad idea all around. Why risk your gut health by eating at this chain when there are buffets that sell things like delicious Indian food?

Golden Corral is unlikely to begin operations.

Even I have to admit that’s a bit harsh. Personally, I don’t mind Golden Corral. Especially not at brunch time. In my opinion, there are much worse chain restaurants. Oh, and in case you’re wondering what the rest of the top ten worst chain restaurants are, here’s the list:

10. The Cheesecake Factory

9. Red Lobster

8. Olive Garden

7. TGI Fridays

6. Applebee’s

5. Buffalo Wild Wings

4. I jump

3. Cracker Barrel

2. Denny’s

1. Golden Corral

Are you at all surprised by these rankings? What was left out and what doesn’t belong there at all? How on earth The Cheesecake Factory and Olive Garden managed to win out against some of our other chain restaurants is beyond me, but to each their own.
