The Book Place project has existed since 2021, but was put on hold due to the large-scale invasion. This is the first book exchange since the beginning of the war. The project is implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Book Institute and at the expense of the state budget of Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, Costa Rica has become the anniversary country of the Ukrainian Bookshelf project. From now on, works of Ukrainian literature can be found in the National Library of Costa Rica’s capital, San José.
