All-Pro claims the New York Jets have “the best quarterback I’ve ever seen”

Even the New York Jets All-Pro players are impressed with the abilities of their 40-year-old quarterback.

Looking like the four-time NFL MVP he is, Aaron Rodgers put on a masterful passing performance during Wednesday’s joint practice against the New York Giants, ending the two-minute drill by hooking up with Allen Lazard in the end zone.

“I just saw them play those two minutes (of offense). It looked crazy,” said Sauce Gardner, a two-time All-Pro cornerback for the Jets. “I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself. I know the big shots are probably going to come into the facility tomorrow, but man, it was crazy.”

Gardner, who was selected No. 4 in the 2022 draft, believes he has never faced a better passer than Rodgers.

“I mean, he’s the best quarterback I’ve ever seen. I’m not just saying that because he’s on my team,” Gardner said.

Meanwhile, left tackle Tyron Smith, who has been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times, said Rodgers has shown no signs of fatigue at this advanced stage of his career.

“He looks great. That’s all I can say,” Smith said. “I have all the respect for him. He’s just one of the greats out there and we’re just trying our best to keep up with him.”

Now the Jets hope the legendary quarterback can lead them to a legendary season.
