Ladles Soups, the locally owned and operated restaurant along the Outer Banks that serves more than 400 homemade soup recipes, has announced its closure.

On Wednesday, the establishment announced the news on Facebook, writing:

Hello everyone!

It is time for us to say goodbye. Today is our last day of business. Since December 2014 we have struggled through the years serving our wonderful Outer Banks community who have never let us down. We thank you for all your support and to our friends who have come from near and far to visit us while vacationing here. We thank you! Thank you to the many employees and vendors who have helped us along the way. And thank you Vick, we could not have started this business without you! Thank you to the Ladles franchise for the opportunity. And most of all thank you to the family for your hard work and dedication all these years, you are simply the best!! Have a souper day!!!!

Ladles Soups was located at 1901 S Croatan Highway.
