Southern Souls finds new location for secondhand store

EUFAULA, Alabama (WTVY) – An update on the search for a new location for the Southern Souls Animal League thrift store in Eufaula.

Anna Shepard, the shelter’s director, told News4 that they had managed to secure a location.

This means that this no-kill animal shelter can remain open and continue its mission of saving local animals.

Shepard said the last few weeks have been worrying after the company moved out of its old store and had nowhere to go.

“I was super nervous. I was so stressed. Knowing that we would have a place to move in quickly and only be gone for two weeks was a huge relief. I can’t even tell you, it’s just a huge relief to me knowing that we’re going to be open to the public again and ready to help the animals again,” Shepard said.

Shepard says the support from local businesses and the community is greatly appreciated during this time.
