“Tim and I had an agreement where… First of all, how do you do it again? It’s not like we sat down on the first one and thought, ‘Remember, in the first act this happens. And here’s your character’s arc’ and all that,” says Keaton. “He just thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be fun, this is going to be cool.’ And then it was just created. Up here (in his head) he had created it, but then it took on a life of its own. So that doesn’t happen very often, but that’s what – and I don’t throw that word around lightly – is what makes art in many cases. So I always think that people didn’t realize what was behind them when they wanted to watch this stuff and hear this stuff and live in this world that was so different from anything you could compare it to.”
