A group of former Trump administration officials have penned an open letter supporting his former chief of staff John Kelly after he warned that the former president met the definition of a “fascist.”

In the explosive letter, the 13 former advisers emphasize the “danger” of a possible second term for Trump and say: “This is who Donald Trump is.”

“The revelations made by General Kelly are disturbing and shocking. “But because we know Trump and have worked for and alongside him, we were unfortunately not surprised by what General Kelly had to say,” the letter, published for the first time, said POLITICALLY, States.

“We applaud General Kelly for clearly highlighting the danger of a second Trump term. Like General Kelly, we did not make the decision to enlist lightly. We are all lifelong Republicans who have served our country,” the letter said.

“However, there are moments in history when it becomes necessary to put country above party. This is one of those moments. Everyone should heed General Kelly’s warning.”

The officials include former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor and former national security adviser to Mike Pence Olivia Troye. Other signatories include former senior adviser to Kelly Kevin Carroll, former deputy secretary of homeland security Elizabeth Neumann, former deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews, former press secretary to the vice president Alyssa Farah Griffin; and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

Kelly said in a new interview with the New York Times this week that the former president meets the definition of a fascist and, if approved, would rule like a dictator if re-elected.

“If you look at the definition of fascism, it is a far-right authoritarian, ultra-nationalist political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, violent suppression of opposition, and belief in a natural social hierarchy ” he said.

Kelly, a former Marine Corps general, also told the story The Atlantic that Trump once praised Hitler’s generals for their loyalty to the Nazi dictator – and said that Hitler “did some good things.”

In response to Kelly’s claims, Trump criticized the former chief of staff on Truth Social, calling him “a scum” and a “complete degenerate.”

“Thank you for your support against a complete degenerate John Kelly who has made up a story of pure hatred against Trump Derangement Syndrome!” He posted about the man he once praised as a “true star” of his administration.

“This guy had two qualities that didn’t mix well. He was tough and stupid. The problem is that his toughness has turned into weakness because over time he has become JELLO!”

Trump has dismissed the claims as “lies,” while Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director, said in a statement: “John Kelly has completely disgraced himself with these debunked stories he made up because he did not tell his president during his tenure as boss has served his staff well and is currently suffering from a debilitating case of Trump Deangement Syndrome.”

Kamala Harris, meanwhile, has stepped up warnings about Trump as the campaign enters its final stages.

The vice president said at a rally on Wednesday that Kelly’s claims “provide a glimpse into who Donald Trump really is, from the people who know him best, from the people who work side by side with him in the Oval Office and in the situation.” Room worked.” .”
