“A Quiet Place: Day One” comes exclusively to Paramount+ this week












Paramount+ has announced that “A Quiet Place: Day One” will stream exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada beginning Tuesday, August 27.

The prequel to the 2018 film A Quiet Place deals with the events of the day the world went quiet and follows Samira (Lupita Nyong’o) as she returns to New York City, only to find her journey turned into a harrowing nightmare when mysterious creatures that hunt by sound attack. Accompanied by her cat Frodo and an unexpected ally, Eric (Joseph Quinn), Samira must embark on a dangerous journey through the city, which has suddenly gone silent and where the only rule is to stay quiet to stay alive. Djimon Hounsou and Alex Wolff also star.

A Quiet Place: Day One grossed $100 million worldwide, setting a franchise record for the highest-grossing box office opening worldwide. To date, the film has grossed over $261 million worldwide.

A Quiet Place: Day One is directed by Michael Sarnoski with a story by John Krasinski and Michael Sarnoski, based on characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, and a screenplay by Michael Sarnoski. The film is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, pga, Brad Fuller and John Krasinski, with executive producers by Allyson Seeger and Vicki Dee Rock.
