The A quiet place: day one was number 1 in the top 10 digital sales and rentals list of DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group, provided by GfK Entertainment, for the week ending August 4.

Available in premium digital sales and rentals from July 30, the third installment in actor and director John Krasinski’s sci-fi horror series is a prequel starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o that takes viewers back to the first day of the invasion of deadly creatures that hunt by sound in New York City.

Sony Pictures’ Bad Boys: Ride or Die slipped to number 2. In the fourth film in the series, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence team up again as Miami detectives in a mix of action and comedy, but this time Miami’s best detectives are on the run. When Captain Howard is wrongly accused of a lifetime of drug-related crimes, the Bad Boys vow to clear his name. The film has been available for premium digital rental and purchase since July 23.

Third place went to Universal’s The Fall Guy, the adaptation of the 1980s TV action series starring Ryan Gosling in the role of an experienced stuntman tasked with tracking down the star of a major science fiction film.
