According to Bloomberg, Russia captured more territory last week than at any point in 2024

Russia captured more territory in its war with Ukraine last week than at any time in 2024, Bloomberg reported on November 1, based on calculations by Bloomberg Intelligence based on the DeepState mapping service, which was carried out in coordination with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is tracking changes on the battlefield.

Russian troops have reportedly captured the town of Selydove, but Ukraine has not yet confirmed the reports. Bloomberg said Russia’s next targets would be the cities of Poskovsk and Kurakhove, key logistics centers for the Ukrainian military.

Observers and the Ukrainian military had previously warned of an increasingly difficult situation in the city as Russian forces advanced in recent weeks.

The Ukrainian military said on October 29 that it had repelled 11 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, including near Selydove.
