At some polling stations in Pennsylvania, lines are approaching six hours, according to New York Just. But in some lucky places, Paul Rudd was on hand to relieve stress, take selfies, hand out water bottles and make the MSNBC hosts giggle. The actor was spotted at Temple University in Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon by MSNBC national correspondent Jacob Soboroff in the middle of a live newscast. When Soboroff asked what made him vote in Pennsylvania, Rudd said, “I just wanted to give people water. They wait in line for a long time and it’s a wonderful thing that all these young people don’t vote.”

When the reporter informed Rudd that some people had waited more than two hours to vote, Rudd nodded: “That’s impressive.” “We did a lot here in Pennsylvania today,” he added. “We wanted to come out and tell these students that they are doing really great things.”

Based on selfies and videos voters posted throughout the day, it appears Rudd was also politely attacked while handing out water at Villanova University, less than an hour from Temple. And here Paul points to a poster that says “Pennsylvania for Harris-Walz.” I should add that this is not the first time Rudd has acted as a minor election fairy. In 2020, he made similar headlines when he handed out cookies to voters standing in the rain at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Thank you for your service, Paul!
