The New York Jets clearly weren’t very happy with the way they played against the Buffalo Bills on “Monday Night Football”…

Just hours after the Bills’ (4-2) 23-20 win, the Jets (2-4) signed All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders.

There has long been speculation that the 32-year-old Adams would travel to New York. Adams wanted to leave Vegas and reportedly he wanted to play with one of his former quarterbacks…namely Aaron Rodgers.

He got his wish.

The Jets sent a conditional third-round pick to the Raiders for Adams. It can move on to a second round if certain conditions are met.

There was some hope for fans in Buffalo that the Bills could pull off just that trade… but it didn’t happen and never really seemed likely.

The Bills were financially strapped compared to their AFC East rivals. Adams’ acquisition could quickly make the Jets a contender again, but with both of their games now under the .500 mark… it remains to be seen whether Gang Green can dig themselves out of this hole.
