Frank Fritz has died, Fox News Digital can confirm.

“We are sad to announce that our friend and beloved member of the HISTORY Channel and the ‘American Pickers’ family, Frank Fritz, passed away on September 30, 2024,” The History Channel and Cineflex Productions said in a statement with Fox News Digital with . “Frank made American Pickers for over a decade. We will always remember “the bearded charmer” and his never-ending search for vintage motorcycles and bicycles. Our thoughts are with Frank’s loved ones during this difficult time. We will miss him very much.”

His former co-star Mike Wolfe also posted on Instagram about the “American Pickers” star’s death. “It is with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night,” he wrote.

“I’ve known Frank for more than half my life and what you saw on TV was always what I saw: a dreamer who was as sensitive as he was funny. “The same thing off camera that he did,” Frank had the opportunity to reach the hearts of so many people just by being himself.

Danielle Colby, who also stars in “American Pickers,” paid tribute to the Midwest native.

“Frank, I will miss your ability to make everyone laugh, your love for talking tattoos, your epic collections, but what I will miss most are those little glimpses of vulnerability every now and then,” Colby wrote on Instagram . “Frank, you loved your cat and your mom and we bonded over these things. You will be missed for all these reasons and many more.”

Fritz suffered a stroke in 2022 and recovered.

“I have been very reserved over the past year about Frank’s life and the journey he has taken,” Wolfe wrote on Instagram at the time. “There have been many opinions about mine and Frank’s friendship and the show, but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend.”

The TV star left “American Pickers” earlier this year.

“We all care about Frank and want him back on the show,” Wolfe told The Sun at the time. “I would like to talk to him again, we would really like to, but he just can’t seem to get it right.”

“Frank personally suffers greatly from addiction issues,” he claimed. “It’s unfortunate that he made decisions that make him the way he is.”
