Boichik Bagels expands to Los Gatos

Boichik Bagels, hailed by the New York Times as some of the best New York-style bagels in the country, will soon be available in Los Gatos.

Eight months after first expanding to the South Bay, founder Emily Winston is preparing to open a store on busy Los Gatos Boulevard.

The opening is scheduled for late September in the Village Square/Trader Joe’s shopping center. The store will be located near the UPS Store and See’s Candies.

That city has long been on Winston’s target list, and many residents wanted a location for an expansion, she told the Mercury News last December at her opening in Santa Clara in the city’s tech corridor near Highway 101. More San Francisco bagels were the top priority, and she’s met that demand with the opening of a new shop on Battery Street this week.
