Bulldogs open as heavy favorites

The Georgia Bulldogs have emerged as big betting favorites over the Florida Gators.

The Georgia Bulldogs have a bye this week, as they normally do before the Florida game. The two teams will meet next Saturday in Jacksonville for the world’s largest outdoor cocktail party and play in classic SEC competition. Georgia picked up a huge win over Texas while Florida took on Kentucky.

There is still over a week to go before the game is played but the betting odds for the match are already announced. Georgia is currently fighting for a spot in the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff, while Florida, at 4-3, is gunning for bowl eligibility. With that in mind, it’s no big surprise that Georgia is the overwhelming early favorite in this game.

Georgia is the 20.5-point favorite according to Fanduell, according to VegasInsider. Florida has beaten Georgia just twice since 2016, when Kirby Smart took over as head coach. The Gators have failed to stay within 21 points in the last three years.
