Burglary in Queens: 3 people arrested after arresting a family in a Douglaston home

DOUGLASTON, Queens (WABC) – In Queens, three people were arrested after police responded to a home invasion.

It happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday in the Douglaston neighborhood.

Investigators believe that several family members were held captive in a house.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a woman running out with a baby in her arms.

Police used drones and set up a perimeter around the house to later locate and arrest the suspects.

Officials said at least one victim was punched in the face and another was struck on the foot with a hammer. Both victims apparently refused medical attention.

The motive for the attack is unclear and there is no information yet on what charges the suspects will face.
