Could Kendrick Lamar lure Taylor Swift to the Super Bowl? Pop Shop Podcast

When it was announced over the weekend that Kendrick Lamar would headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, the announcement raised some burning questions. In the new Billboard Pop Shop podcast, Katie and Keith discuss those questions.

What will he perform? Should his involvement be seen as an “anti-Drake” move following their heated rap battle last spring? And which special guests will join him on stage? He has plenty of options, after all, considering his high-profile collaborations with everyone from Taylor Swift to Beyoncé. If Lamar convinces Swift to perform her 2015 “Bad Blood” remix, it would be her first appearance on the Super Bowl halftime stage, while it would be Bey’s third appearance (in 2013 as a headliner and in 2016 as part of Coldplay) if she appears for 2016’s “Freedom.”

Also on Monday, the nominations for the 2024 CMA Awards were announced and Beyoncé’s country album Cowboy Carter received zero approval. We’re talking about the reaction to her rejection.
