Country star donates money and food to hurricane relief efforts

Morgan Wallen goes above and beyond in hurricane relief.

The country star’s foundation, the Morgan Wallen Foundation, collected more than 100,000 meals in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The Tennessee native initially donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross after Helene struck eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina, according to Taste of Country. He has also launched exclusive merchandise and the proceeds will be donated to relief efforts.

Earlier this month, his foundation hosted the “Help After Helene” food drive to support Second Harvest in East Tennessee, according to the Tennessean. According to a report by Music Row, donations totaled 143,423 pounds of food, filling six trucks.

Wallen has two shows on his One Night at a Time tour in Charlotte, NC, and has announced a canning drive at Bank of America Stadium both nights.

Residents on Florida’s Gulf Coast are digging out of mountains of sand after Hurricanes Helene and Milton inundated them with back-to-back hits in less than two weeks. A storm surge up to 3 meters high swept sand into communities.
