Crime in Central Park: Three teenagers again under surveillance for robbery of woman

MANHATTAN (WABC) — The NYPD has released new surveillance videos and photos of three teenagers wanted for a robbery in Central Park.

It happened on August 11 shortly before midnight near 65 West Drive.

According to investigators, the young thieves approached a 27-year-old woman, grabbed her arm and demanded her belongings.

They stole her phone and purse. Police say they later used her credit card.

The victim suffered minor bruises but was not taken to hospital.

The three suspected robbers are believed to be teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17.

The first teenager is described as wearing a white tank top, grey sweatpants, red and white sneakers and carrying a black shoulder bag.

The second teenager was last seen wearing a colorful hat, a white t-shirt, black shorts, white sneakers and a black shoulder bag.

The third teenager was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt and white shorts.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or (Spanish) at 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

The New York Police Department announced earlier this month that it would use drones to combat crime in the park and increased the number of patrols in the area.
