Four people were killed and nine injured in a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, yesterday. It is the worst of 45 school shootings in the United States this year.

What you should know: The suspected shooter, a 14-year-old student at the school, is being charged with murder as an adult. Local schools will remain closed this week while the investigation continues. (Yahoo News)

The victims: Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo and math teachers Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie were named as victims of the attack. The injured were taken to hospitals and are expected to recover soon. (CNN)
