De’Von Achane gives an important hint as to whether he will play against the Bills in Week 2

De’Von Achane gives an important hint as to whether he will play against the Bills in Week 2

Since Raheem Mostert is already out for the Dolphins, Football on Thursday evening Mike McDaniel’s running back team suffered a setback in the 2018 game against the Buffalo Bills. Things will only get worse for him if speedster De’Von Achane, who is battling an ankle injury, is unable to play.

Before kickoff, the second-year playmaker was listed as questionable. However, there is a lot of optimism that No. 28 can play in this big division showdown. Fans are convinced he will be ready, as Achane has been touting the primetime clash on Instagram. Do we really think he would post this if he didn’t plan on being available?

If Achane is unable to take the field for some reason, rookie running back Jaylen Wright will likely step in as a backup. However, reports say Achane will test his ankle during warmups to see if he feels good enough to play. At this point, however, it would be a shock if he doesn’t play.

The running attack was a bit disappointing in the season-opening win against the Jaguars, but that simply can’t be the case against the Bills. It will be up to the newly formed offensive line to do their job and create gaps for Achane and the other RBs involved. Achane also knows what it takes to be successful against Buffalo, as he rushed for over 100 yards and two TDs in his first game against them in 2023.

He missed a few practices earlier in the week, but being limited on Wednesday increased his chances of playing against Buffalo for the third time in his career. Nothing is official yet, but if Achane does indeed play, which we expect, he will make a huge difference in this AFC East clash. He will be needed if Miami wants to make a statement against Josh Allen and Co.
