Do the Ninja blenders on display at Walmart work?

Do the Ninja blenders on display at Walmart work?

Walmart customer Caitlin Brown ordered a Ninja blender through Walmart delivery. Unfortunately, the blender was sold out for Brown. However, that didn’t stop Brown’s customer from buying Brown a blender.

Brown (@theskinot) posted a viral TikTok describing her delivery issue, which is obvious at first glance. Instead of bringing her the sold-out blender, the driver somehow left the store with a floor display. The display units at Walmart don’t actually work.

But TikTokers were equally impressed and speechless by Brown’s video, which garnered over 73,000 views on the platform.

“I ordered grocery delivery from Walmart,” Brown tells the camera. “I needed a new blender for the morning. And I noticed they said it was almost sold out. … But they brought me this,” the TikToker says, turning the camera to show the item on display.

The shelf display features a clear presentation tray and inserts to show customers all the great things they can mix with their new Ninja product.

“They brought me the display with a spoon attached with tape. And everything is still screwed together. Walmart… why? But why?” she asks before the video cuts off.

“But where is the cable?” Brown asks in a caption for the video.

Viewers are impressed

Brown was understandably baffled when she received the Mixer display instead of a real one, but TikTokers praised their delivery driver’s efforts.

“Give this driver his stars,” one person wrote.

“Well, as weird as it is, I’m kind of impressed by the dedication too,” said another TikToker.

Another was just shocked that he was able to leave the store with the display. “How did they get out of the store with that?? I’m screaming!!,” he shouted.

Another viewer wanted to know how the driver was even able to scan the display. “How did they ring that out?!” he asked.

Frustration over Walmart replacement

Walmart delivery customers have criticized drivers and pickup workers for the way their items have been delivered in the past. At least two different shoppers received the items they ordered still in their locker. Another customer complained about the condition her groceries arrived in, saying they may no longer be safe to use.

But as more people turn to delivery services, we can only expect more bizarre alternatives to find their way into people’s homes. And TikTokers will likely have a front-row seat to the chaos.

The Daily Dot asked Walmart for more information via email form and Brown via TikTok comment.
