Dwight Howard, Stephen Nedoroscik, Danny Amendola and Ilona Maher all made progress in waltz dancing a day later Dancing with the stars.

The retired NBA center, 2024 Olympic gymnast, former NFL wide receiver and rugby star received enough votes to advance to next week. Howard’s fate came down to the very end when he had to wait until the end to learn that he and his dance partner Daniella Karagach had been spared.

Dwight Howard really survives???? #dwts

The theme of Tuesday’s episode was that the dancers dedicate their performances to personal causes.

Nedoroscik chose to highlight men’s gymnastics because of the challenge the sport faces in general uncertain future at the college level. He and Rylee Arnold performed an Argentine tango that impressed the judges, earning them a score of 33 out of 40.

Fittingly, the routine began with a quick run-up on Nedoroscik’s pommel horse.

Amendola was next in line to honor Mike Leach, his coach at Texas Tech who died in 2022. The two-time Super Bowl champion and Witney Carson thrilled the audience and the jury with a contemporary dance. They received nines across the board, for a total score of 36.

Howard and Daniella Karagach had a difficult task with their interpretation of the rumba. Even though they only got a 29, the eight-time All-Star was clearly having fun on the dance floor.

Maher was the last athlete to take the stage. She tried to make amends after a year hard consequence last week and did exactly that with her and Alan Bersten’s rendition of the rumba. They received an overall score of 32.

Next up is Disney night Dancing with the stars Schedule.

Nedoroscik, Howard, Amendola and Maher are all used to competing under pressure. However, the tension they feel as the field gets smaller and smaller might be a little different than what they are used to.
