Two home improvement stores earned widespread approval in several “best of” categories, including flooring/carpet, doors and windows, garden centers, fencing and garage doors. And that’s no surprise, since these two chains are the largest home improvement stores in the U.S. and the world by sales. Home Depot has more than 2,300 stores in the U.S., Lowe’s has 1,700, and both have a strong presence in the Inland Empire.

Lowe’s and Home Depot offer virtually everything you need for your home, a renovation project, or to repair everyday things around the house. Both retailers have large departments with a wide selection of home appliances, including refrigerators and washing machines, patio furniture, plants and garden accessories, lighting fixtures and accessories, hardware, plumbing supplies and bathroom fixtures, tools, paint and painting supplies, lumber, and more.

These stores also make shopping fun. How many times have you driven to your local Home Depot or Lowe’s to pick up one thing like a can of paint or some new flowers, only to come home with a truckload of more purchases? These mega-stores have so much to offer at reasonable prices that many shoppers find it hard to resist buying another plant or new rug on their doorstep while they’re doing that shopping!

Staff in each department will help you schedule any necessary installations and repairs. If the item you need is out of stock at your local store, staff will check online to see if the item is available at another store or can be ordered from the manufacturer.
