Elijah Wood spotted at Dime Store Restaurant in Detroit

You can’t just walk into Mordor, but you can make it to the Dime Store, an all-day brunch restaurant in Detroit, and yesterday they had a very special guest in their restaurant.

Elijah Wood, best known for his role as Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings series but recently starred in Showtime’s Yellowjackets, is spending some time in Detroit and stopped by the Dime Store for breakfast. He was kind enough to take photos with the staff and the staff had nothing but good things to say about him:

OMG, OMG, OMG. We were in full geek mode today… when actor and producer Elijah Wood… brought smiles and excitement to staff and guests alike. He’s a super nice guy and even took the time to take photos with our staff.

In the comments, some guests shared the photos they took with him, and people asked if he had potatoes and if he ordered a second breakfast. Two solid references to the movies.

Dime Store has two locations in Michigan, one in Detroit, which Elijah visited, and one in Rochester Hills. Their homemade breakfast, lunch and brunch food has won multiple “Best of Detroit” awards.

Why Elijah is currently in Michigan is unknown, but it seems he has been traveling a lot lately. He was recently spotted at a jazz festival in Rhode Island.
