Epic Games announces new Fortnite webshop

Over the past few weeks, Epic Games has made a number of changes to Fortnite. From returning to the iOS platform to rumors that the game will get its own Marvel store and more, Epic clearly wants to overhaul the live service game in some way. The latest move is now the launch of its own Fortnite web store.

Announcement on Twitterthe official Fortnite account, revealed this latest feature by saying “Hey, Web Store. The Fortnite Web Store is now live!! A brand new way to view and purchase the items currently in circulation. This Web Store acts as an extension of the in-game store. Including the ability to apply Support-A-Creator codes to purchases!”

While the addition of a webshop Of course, this only serves to motivate players to purchase more skins and cosmetics (and potentially avoid platform fees), but the added convenience of a web store is nice for those looking for a specific skin.

In addition, the webshop itself seems to be quite extensive so far, as you can view full 3D models of the skins and items there.

Considering how often the available cosmetic items in the Fortnite store change, the ability to access the store without having to download/update Fortnite is at least a welcome quality of life improvement.
