ESPN Analyst Claims Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ‘Might Actually Be Engaged’

Troy Aikman dropped a major Taylor Swift Easter egg, suggesting the Grammy winner and Travis Kelce may already be engaged.

During the October 9th episode Pardon my opinion On the podcast, the ESPN analyst shared what he allegedly heard about the A-list couple. According to the 57-year-old NFL legend, a source close to the couple reached out to him and revealed intimate details that suggested their relationship status may have evolved.

“Someone actually reached out to me today and said that they might actually be engaged,” Aikman claimed.

On October 7, Aikman identified Swift as Kelce’s “wife” in his weekly football coverage. The Eras Tour frontwoman was seen cheering on her boyfriend at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the New Orleans Saints 26-13.

After Kelce quickly and successfully performed a play, the cameras turned to a very pleased Swift, who was seen cheering alongside her father, Scott Swift.

“The woman likes it,” Aikman announced during the broadcast, according to a clip shared on social media. His co-host Joe Buck quickly corrected him by noting that the couple had not tied the knot.

“Oh, I know. I’m sure I’ll get in trouble if I say that,” Aikman told Buck.

At that time, Aikman had not received the call from the alleged insider. Still, the former Dallas Cowboys player credits himself for unknowingly spreading a story.

“So maybe I actually published a story,” Aikman noted during the event Pardon my opinion podcast, adding that his on-air commentary did not receive as much attention as he did.

Kelce and Swift have been together since summer 2023. The pop artist was first spotted at one of the athlete’s games in Kansas City on September 24, 2023.

Last season, Swift was always there to support Kelce at his games, bringing her company to many of his games. The “22” singer was joined by Sabrina Carpenter, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Keleigh Teller and Ice Spice during the 2023-2024 season, in which the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

The Independent has reached out to reps for Swift and Kelce for comment.
