Fans ‘seriously concerned’ about Rachael Ray as she appears to slur her words in new cooking video

Fans said they were “seriously concerned” for Rachael Ray after she appeared to slur her words in a new cooking video.

The 56-year-old chef paid tribute to the late Tony Bennett on Instagram on Monday by preparing his favourite dish, osso buco, which consists of braised veal shanks with polenta and bread.

In the clip, Ray recalled inviting Bennett and his wife Susan Crow to dinner and “almost killing” him.

“I polished the floors in the kitchen because Tony Bennett is coming for dinner,” she continued. “I have to make sure the floors are perfect, the house is clean and everything is just great.”

The star of “Rachael Ray in Tuscany” said she may have “overdone it” with her floors because Bennett’s chair “slipped out from under his feet” and he “hit his head on her marble counter.”

Despite the terrible fall, Bennett was fine and enjoyed the “double portion” of food she had prepared for him.

The singer died on July 21, 2023 at the age of 96. Seven years earlier, he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

However, fans were not interested in her story and instead wondered if there was something wrong with Ray’s health.

“I love you but are you okay? I’m seriously worried,” wrote one user.

Another added: “Wait! What’s wrong with Rachael Ray?”

“Is she letting go or am I slurring,” asked a third person, while another remarked, “Rachel is in trouble?! I hope someone is as worried as I am?”

Others, however, defended Ray against the speculation.

“She’s aging like the rest of us. Maybe she has a health issue, maybe she’s on medication. But whatever, there’s no need to be mean,” wrote one supporter.

“She is aging in a normal way, no plastic surgery or like everyone else… be honest guys… all people are judging all these celebrities getting plastic surgery on boobs, lips or whatever and she is back to being like us, naturally. So yeah this is a shock to y’all… keep going Rachael, do your thing and thank you for showing us the real you,” another added.

“Oh my goodness you perfect people make the most horrible, hateful comments. MOVE ON!” said a third.

Page Six reached out to Ray’s rep for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

Ray has not publicly disclosed any health problems. However, in 2008, a spokesperson for the author of “Rachael Ray 30-Minute Meals 2” denied reports that she was undergoing surgery due to concerns about throat cancer.

“Rachael is the bloom of life. She will undergo a minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord,” Charlie Dougiello said at the time.

“It is a standard entry and exit process that she will have completed in early December and will have no negative impact on her daytime shows or tapings on the Food Network.”
