Ole Miss vs Oklahoma live score updates

The Sooners will get the ball to start the second half.

Jackson Arnold made a great play to give Oklahoma the lead at halftime. Arnold dodged rushers in a collapsing pocket and found Jacob Jordan in the corner of the end zone for a last-second touchdown pass. It’s OU’s first lead.

Facing a four-and-1 from the OU five, Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin made a complicated play. It didn’t work. With defensive lineman JJ Pegues in the backfield, quarterback Jaxson Dart faked a handoff to him and handed it off to receiver Juice Wells on an end-around. Wells was stopped for a three-yard loss.

After a chaotic sequence, the Rebels got the ball back. Immediately after a two-fumble play, Ole Miss defensive end Jared Ivey sacked OU quarterback Jackson Arnold for 11 yards, stripping the ball in the process. Sooners take over the OU 37.

Ole Miss linebacker Chris Paul made a good play that turned into a bad one. Paul caught a fumble from Taylor Tatum, but the ball was ripped out of his hands on his short return. OU regained the ball at the OU 48-yard line.

Ole Miss narrowly avoided giving OU a major breakthrough. Oklahoma hit a punt to Ole Miss returner Micah Davis, who was facing the sun. Davis ran to catch the punt but missed it as he ran left. Cornerback Chris Graves recovered the ball at the Ole Miss 15-yard line.

One animal produced something that both Ole Miss and OU fans could cheer about. A Squirrel fan on the field at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium during a timeout.

OU used penalties to tie the game. The Rebels took three penalties for 45 yards. All three were 15-yard personal fouls.

Oklahoma’s promising first drive failed. OU coach Brent Venables decided to make a bold move by attempting a four-and-1 conversion from the Ole Miss 2-yard line. Quarterback Jackson Arnold faked a draw play and threw a slant to Brenen Thompson. Jadon Canada has called it quits.

If Ole Miss’ offense continues like this, this game will quickly get out of reach. Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart led a six-play, 75-yard drive on the game’s first possession. Starting running back Henry Parrish evaded a pair of Sooners and pushed his tacklers into the end zone for a nine-yard score.

The status of the country’s leading receiver is no surprise. Harris was listed as questionable all week and was listed as a game-time decision 90 minutes before kickoff.
