Gas line break in Lewistown repaired after causing temporary road closures Wednesday morning | State

At 11:35 a.m., FCDES announced that the NorthWestern Energy breach had been sealed and crews had been withdrawn from the area.


LEWISTOWN, Montana – Fergus County Disaster and Emergency Services (FCDES) said Wednesday that Fergus County officials, along with Lewistown Rural Fire and Northwestern Energy firefighters, are responding to a burst gas line in the area of ​​Phillips Street and Bach Avenue in Lewistown Heights.

For safety reasons, several roads in the area have been closed while workers work to repair the gas line.

Authorities are asking residents to avoid the affected area until NorthWestern Energy completes repairs.

FCDES expects work to be completed as early as 12pm. Residents are asked to avoid the area if work crews are still there after this time.
