Holocaust survivor criticizes Harris for comparing Trump to Hitler

The Trump campaign released an ad Friday in which a Holocaust survivor criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for comparing former President Trump to Adolf Hitler.

“I know more about Hitler than Kamala will ever know in a thousand lifetimes,” says 94-year-old Jerry Wartski, an Auschwitz survivor, in the roughly minute-and-a-half-long ad. “Her accusing President Trump of being like Hitler is the worst thing I have ever heard in my 75 years in the United States.”

Wartski said Trump was a “human being,” a Yiddish nickname, and argued, “He has always stood with the Jewish people and the State of Israel.”

Wartski also demanded an apology from Harris.

“I know President Trump, and he would never say that, and Kamala Harris knows that,” Wartski said. “She owes my parents and everyone else who was murdered by Hitler an apology.”

Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris campaign for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

The ad comes after Harris repeatedly compared Trump to Hitler this week, including during a press conference on the steps of her official residence at the US Naval Observatory in Washington, DC, during a town hall meeting on Wednesday, which Harris shared with CNN and on social media held off.

Harris’ comments followed media reports this week detailing alleged claims by former Trump administration officials, including Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly, that the former president had met Hitler and the loyalty shown to him by his Nazi generals “on multiple occasions.” “I praised.

“Donald Trump seeks uncontrolled power. He wants a military like Adolf Hitler, loyal to him, not our Constitution,” Harris posted on X this week. “He is unhinged, unstable and given a second term there would be no one to stop him to pursue your worst impulses.”

“When the President of the United States, the Commander in Chief, essentially says to his generals, ‘Why can’t you be more like Hitler’s generals?’ Anderson, this is a serious, serious problem,” Harris said during her town hall event on Wednesday.

“And we know who he is. He admires dictators and sends love letters back and forth with Kim Jong Un.”
