How to watch Canelo vs. Berlanga: Boxing schedule from September 11-14, 2024

How to watch Canelo vs. Berlanga: Boxing schedule from September 11-14, 2024

Wednesday, September 11

DAZN, 4:00 p.m. ETPress conference for the main event Canelo vs. Berlanga. Canelo and Eddie B try to talk out their differences one more time before settling them with fists. Sometimes other people randomly show up and try to hijack Canelo press conferences to get a bit of publicity, so that could be fun. And remember that time Caleb Plant had his sunglasses ripped right off his face with an outstretched arm? Wild, right?

ProBox TV8:00 p.m. ET, Lester Martinez vs. Joeshon James. Nice little main event here! Martinez put on a good show last year on ProBox and comes into it fresh off a win over Carlos Gongora. James is still undefeated despite four B-team appearances against undefeated up-and-comers, the most memorable being a 1st round knockout of David Stevens last October. Unfortunately… no live coverage on BLH for this event, but we may have a hangout thread for anyone watching live.

Thursday, September 12

DAZN, 2:00 p.m. ETCanelo vs. Berlanga pre-fight press conference. Erislandy Lara! Danny Garcia! Caleb Plant! Trevor McCumby, possibly in full Dr. Disrespect cosplay regalia! Stephen Fulton! Rolly Romero! Roiman Villa! AND MICROPHONES!

DAZN, 8:00 p.m. ETArdreal Holmes vs. Hugo Noriega. A Salita/Big Time Boxing show from “Michagan,” as it is called in the short version by DAZN. CountryBox: Where music meets speakers Veteran Da’Velle Smith is the opening act!

Friday, September 13

DAZN, 4:00 p.m. ETWeigh-in of Canelo vs. Berlanga. We know what all these guys are allegedly to weigh… But what will they Strictly speaking weigh? Find out, live!

TrillerTV+, 7:30 p.m. ET, Alessi promotions. “A night of professional boxing” is the slogan and the event is coming from the Downtown Hilton in Tampa, Florida. In the main event, 53-year-old Chevelle Hallback will face BKFC veteran Melanie Shah, who is making her debut as a professional boxer at the age of 42.

DAZN, 8:00 p.m. ETRocky Hernandez vs. Thomas Mattice. A Matchroom show from Hermasillo, Mexico. Hernandez put on a great show against O’Shaquie Foster last October, and Mattice is 7-1 since his close loss to Isaac Cruz in 2020.

Saturday, September 14

DAZN, 3:30 a.m. ETDavid Nyika vs. Tommy Karpency. Joe Parker is co-promoting this show from New Zealand. The main event is Nyika’s IBF cruiserweight “Inter-Continental” belt… But New Zealand is not really part of a continent! Oceania is a regionsure, but I fear the geographical identity of this belt may be complete nonsense. Hemi Ahio is looking to avenge his only career loss to Faiga Opelu in the undercard.

DAZN, 1:00 p.m. ETDream boxes. Etinosa Oliha vs Alexander Pavlov is your main fight. Oliha is ranked number 8 in the WBC and IBF middleweight rankings, so he is as relevant as anyone in the current middleweight landscape.

DAZN, 3:00 p.m. ETMF x DAZN 18. Elle Brooke vs. Jenny Savage is the main event. The highlight this time is a tournament that takes place on the same evening. The semifinals take place early in the show and the winners meet in the main event in the final.

YouTube6:00 p.m. ET, Preliminary fight Canelo vs. Berlanga. Stephen Fulton, fighting for the first time since his loss to Naoya Inoue last summer, fights Carlos Castro. Also taking on the fight are Roiman Villa vs. Richardo Salas and Jonathan Lopez vs. Richard Medina.

PPP, 8:00 p.m. ETCanelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga. Canelo brings three super middleweight belts, Berlanga brings the (theoretically) promotional rivalry between Puerto Rico. $89.99 for the American fight on DAZN, $89.95 on Amazon Prime for the thrifty among us. Three fights on the main undercard: Erislandy Lara vs. Danny Garcia for Lara’s WBA middleweight belt, Caleb Plant vs. Trevor McCumby for an interim WBA belt, and Rolando “Rolly” Romero vs. Manuel Jaimes. BLH will have live updates.
