In one day, there were more than 80 fightings on the contact line in Ukraine – General Staff

Since the beginning of the day (as of August 12, 16:00), 80 combat operations have taken place on the contact line. The Russians continue to attack the positions of the Ukrainian defenders. The armed forces have repelled 19 out of 25 attacks by the Russian forces on the Pokrovsk front.

Three battles took place on the Siversk front during the day. Russian forces advanced towards Verkhniokamyanske and Spirne, but were defeated by Ukrainian forces.

There were five collisions on the Kramatorsk front near Chasiv Yar and Bohdanivka. Two battles have ended, three more are still ongoing.

The Russians increased the number of attacks on the Toretsk front to eight and carried out attacks near Zalizne and Toretsk. Half of the attacks were repelled, and four more are still in progress.

The Russians carried out offensive operations on the Pokrovsk Front near Kalynove, Sucha Balka, Yelysavetivka, Zelene Pole, Novooleksandrivka, Hrodivka, Mykolaivka, Zhelanne and Skuchne. Ukrainian defenders are holding back the offensive of Russian troops and have repelled 19 out of 25 attacks. Russian losses on this front are currently being clarified.

Russian forces carried out five unsuccessful attacks near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka on the Kurakhove Front.

The Russians also attacked Ukrainian positions near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka and Vuhledar five times. on the Vremivka frontThree attacks have been repelled, two more are still ongoing. The situation is under control of the Ukrainian armed forces.

The Russians suffered a defeat on the Prydniprovske Front, They attacked the Ukrainian defense lines on the left bank of the Dnipro three times.

There are no significant changes in other areas of the contact line.
