“Jaws 1-3” will conquer a new streaming home next month

The first three parts of one of the most iconic film series are coming to Netflix next month. Directed by legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg The Great White Shark debuted in 1975, before the release of 1978 Jaws 2 and 1983 Jaws 3D.

Set four years after the events of the original, Jaws 2 features another great white shark terrorizing Amity Island again. The film received mixed reviews. Although the cast and John Williams’ score received much praise, Jaws 2 was criticized for essentially repeating the plot of the first film. Jaws 3DSet far in the future, it was the first film in the series not to take place on Amity Island. Dennis Quaid and John Putch played Martin Brody’s sons from the previous films, and the events take place at SeaWorld, a water park with underwater tunnels and lagoons in Florida.
