Jersey Mike’s opens a second location in Lansing near Frandor

The Lansing dining scene is always changing. New places open, but unfortunately old favorites close from time to time. This time, however, there is good news about a new place opening!

If you’ve been in the Frandor area recently (first of all, you should know that you’re brave enough to park in that parking lot. And second…), there’s a brand new place to grab a bite to eat.

New restaurant opens in Lansing

If you love sandwiches and are looking for a lunch or dinner option, there is a new sandwich shop near Frandor that can help you out: Jersey Mike’s.

Jersey Mike’s is a sandwich shop originally from New Jersey.

They make hot and cold specialty subs and offer chips, drinks and other sides.

This is not the first Jersey Mike’s in Lansing. There is another location on the west side in Saginaw. There is also one in Okemos near the intersection of Okemos and Jolly Roads.

Jersey Mike’s isn’t the only sandwich choice in the Frandor area. There’s also Penn Station, Jersey Giant, Big John’s Steak and Onion, and Panera Bread.

Not to mention, Jersey Mike’s isn’t the only new eatery in the Frandor area. Big Moe’s Kitchen, known for its Bam Bam Shrimp and Sizzle Rice Bowls, will soon open in the old YaYa’s Chicken location. And Middle Eats, which specializes in Mediterranean bowls, wraps and salads, will move into the old Lefty’s Cheesesteaks space.

Don’t get me wrong; Lansing’s dining scene is simply amazing! There are a variety of restaurants serving a whole range of delicious dishes. But we think there’s always room for improvement. Here are 15 chain restaurants that are so good, we think they should be added to Lansing’s menu immediately!
