Rain is expected later on Wednesday, but snow isn’t far away for some areas of the state!

This Wednesday the weather conditions in the twin cities will vary greatly. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s by 7 a.m., falling to the mid to upper 50s by 10 a.m. and staying in the upper 50s this afternoon. Rain and thunderstorms will move into the Twin Cities after 2 p.m. and continue into Thursday morning, with low temperatures falling to near 40 degrees. Halloween on Thursday starts off wet – in the morning the rain mixes with snow, and by midday it can snow completely at times. Everything will end with a mix of rain and snow by 5 p.m. Snow levels of more than an inch are possible from St. Cloud to North Branch to Duluth and across northwestern Wisconsin through Thursday afternoon. Highs Thursday in the Twin Cities will be around 40 degrees with northeast winds of 10-20 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. It will be cloudy and windy on Halloween evening with temperatures ranging from around 37 degrees at 6 p.m. to 34 degrees at 10 p.m. and 30 degrees at 7 a.m. on Friday.

Warmer temperatures for the coming weekend – back into the 50s to near 60 degrees with rain and thunderstorms likely Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. Election Day looks partly cloudy on Tuesday, with high temperatures around 50 degrees.
