“Kaos” creator gives update on season 2

Through the power of Jeff Goldblum, KAOS could simply rule again.

Although Netflix has not yet renewed the series for season 2, creator Charlie Covell (The end of the damn world) said the streaming platform was “very supportive” of the show, which puts a contemporary twist on classic stories of Greek mythology.

“I think anything is possible,” said Covell Cosmopolitan Great Britain. “My dream was three seasons. I have a lot of ideas and a clear idea of what I want to do with them.”

Of the potential for a second season, they added: “There’s definitely more. I also didn’t want to do an ending that was a total cliffhanger. I hope it feels satisfying as a standalone first season, and there’s always hope for more. Because I’d really love to do more and work with these actors and this team. It was a bit of a dream come true.”

Goldblum plays the lead role in KAOS as Zeus, who begins to fear that his reign is coming to an end when he discovers a wrinkle on his forehead that makes him paranoid and malicious towards his followers. Meanwhile, three mortals (Aurora Perrineau, Misia Butler and Leila Farzad) embark on a journey to fulfill their identical prophecies.

The eight-episode season, now streaming on Netflix, stars Janet McTeer as Hera, Nabhaan Rizwan as Dionysus, Cliff Curtis as Poseidon, David Thewlis as Hades, Debi Mazar as Medusa and Stephen Dillane as Prometheus. The series also stars Suzy Izzard, Billie Piper, Killian Scott and more.
