Liquidators of GTLK Europe offer another A319 for sale

The Irish liquidators of GTLK Europe, a former subsidiary of the Russian state-owned company GTLK – State Transport Leasing, have offered another of their A319-100s for sale.

JY-AYC (MSN 2762) is an 18.3-year-old aircraft last operated by Royal Jordanian and previously by East Star Airlines, Chengdu Airlines and Germania. The aircraft has been parked at Amman Queen Alia since May 2022, when Western sanctions imposed on Russia made its ongoing operations impossible. It is being sold “as is, where is” with no lease obligations. It is currently configured to carry up to 120 passengers, including 12 business class seats.

Teneo Restructuring Ireland’s liquidators have been gradually putting GTLK Europe’s assets on the market to recover money on behalf of the SPV’s non-Russian creditors. They recently listed five A220-300s that were originally intended for Red Wings Airlines (WZ, Moscow Domodedovo) but were never delivered to Russia.

“We continue to advance the disposal of GTLK Europe’s assets in line with the sanctions regime and will efficiently offer additional aircraft for sale in the coming months,” joint liquidators Damien Murran and Julian Moroney said in a statement.

GTLK is contesting the ongoing liquidation and has obtained a ruling from a Russian court that has “prohibited” the disposal of the assets. The ruling has no effect outside Russia and possibly in countries allied with Russia.
