Lower Moreland Police Issue 6 Advertising Permits to Power Home Remodeling

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today that it has issued six new advertising permits to Power Home Remodeling, a Chester, PA-based company specializing in outdoor services.

The permits expire on September 24, 2024, the department said.

From the announcement:

All solicitation permits are valid for 30 days. An extensive process is followed prior to approval to ensure to the best of our knowledge that touts have been vetted. Each tout is issued a physical permit that should be visible and available at all times. They are all provided with copies of our municipal ordinance as well as any residences on our “No Touts” list. We encourage anyone experiencing overly aggressive or suspicious touts to contact the police or 911 immediately.

Attention residents of Huntingdon Valley: Last year 6ABC reported last year that its Action News Troubleshooters team had received more than 30 complaints about Power Home Remodeling since 2010. The complaints ranged from the company’s alleged failure to honor warranties to disorganized responses to replacement requests.

Architecturaldigest.comgives the company a thumbs up:

We’re impressed by the company’s high customer ratings: 4.5 out of 5 stars on BBB from more than 3,800 reviews and 4.6 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot from more than 12,500 reviews. These customer ratings are some of the most impressive we’ve seen in the industry. Power also has an A+ rating from BBB and has been accredited with the agency since 2012.

Power Home Remodeling is not an MLM scam. It is a completely legitimate company that has been accredited with BBB for over a decade. Unlike MLM companies, Power Home Remodeling does not rely on a non-permanent workforce. While some positions are paid on a commission basis, others are permanent or use a hybrid salary-commission model. The company offers a variety of career opportunities thanks to a traditional infrastructure, a customer service department, and its own service center.

It is also worth noting that Power has won dozens of national and regional awards, including from organizations such as Assets and Glassdoor. Many of these awards focus on the quality of work or name the company as one of the best companies to work for. Customers can also view the company’s Bill of Rights, which lays out the company’s customer service philosophy in 10 points.
