Malik Nabers makes the Cowboys’ Andrew Booth look silly

Malik Nabers was the star of the Giants’ win over the Browns in Week 3, and on Thursday night he picked up right where he left off.

The Giants’ rookie receiver nearly broke his ankles on his first reception of the game against the rival Cowboys when he took a little stutter step to trip up the defender.

As Nabers began his route, he made a quick movement with his feet that caused cornerback Andrew Booth to lose his footing and nearly fall over.

The switch allowed Nabers to be wide open for a 39-yard reception that put the Giants into Dallas territory.

The game is just the latest highlight Nabers will see as he begins his professional football career.

Entering Thursday night, Nabers had 23 receptions for 271 yards and three touchdowns – two of them in last Sunday’s win.

Nabers became the first player in NFL history to record more than 20 receptions, more than 250 receiving yards and three or more touchdown catches in his first three games in the league.

Although he enjoyed a lot of success early on, his teammates don’t fear that Nabers’ success will be lost to him.

“I just think with him he has a level head and wants to be the best,” Jalin Hyatt told Steve Serby of the Post. “Not only does he want to be the best here, but he also wants to be the best receiver in the NFL. He shows this in practice every day, and it carries over into the game.

“I think even if he continues to have success in his career, I think it will help him, it will give him more motivation, more confidence and also more trust in (Daniel Jones).”
