Mariah May promises to use everything she learned from Toni Storm to win the women’s championship

Mariah May wants to take everything away from Toni Storm.

From protégé to bitter rival, Mariah May capped off her victory at this year’s Owen Hart Cup Women’s Foundation Tournament by splitting the head of AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm, immediately showing fans that this was a side of May that would greatly surprise unfamiliar fans every time she entered the ring.

In an interview with the Daily Star, May talked about how she will use everything she has learned from her mentor to beat him at Wembley Stadium and be crowned the new AEW Women’s Champion.

“I mean, there’s no reason to put the rivalry aside! I’ve learned so much from Toni Storm! I love Toni Storm. She gave me everything, from the UK indies when I performed for her, to stardom where she paved the way for girls like me, to AEW. I’ve learned so much from Toni Storm, so much that when I beat her on August 25th at Wembley Stadium, I’m going to use all of that against her when I beat her for the World Championship.” Said May.

May and Storm will face off at AEW All In on August 25, with May attempting to do what no one has ever done before: defeat Storm and become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.
