Mr. President Trump takes the stage at the ECU rally

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Former President Donald Trump returned to Minges Coliseum this afternoon

“Kamala, you’re fired, get the fuck out of here,” Trump told the crowd.

The rally marks the fourth time Trump has been in Greenville. He visited the city in 2016, 2020 and 2021.

Trump promised the crowd that he would bring manufacturing jobs back to North Carolina.

“Under the Trump administration, we will take back what is ours,” Trump said. “We will end the looting, rape and looting in North Carolina and, frankly, in every other state in the union.”

Security began letting people into Williams Arena just before noon for the 3 p.m. event. The arena holds 8,000 people.

Lines for entry now extend through the parking lot to 14th Street.

Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is not expected at the ECU rally. According to his campaign website, the Republican candidate for governor is campaigning in the Charlotte area today.

Robinson hasn’t been seen at a Trump rally since CNN reported last month that he allegedly posted offensive and racist posts on a pornography website about a decade ago.

The rally comes just a week after Vice President Kamala Harris held her own rally in Minges last Sunday.

On Saturday, former President Bill Clinton visited Greenville in support of Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss the campaign’s shared goal of encouraging early voting in the final stretch of the 2024 general election.

The Republican candidate was in Asheville around midday, surveying the damage in this western North Carolina city.

This is Trump’s seventh state visit since the end of July.
