NBA fans react to Russell Westbrook’s performance in the Nuggets-Timberwolves game

The Denver Nuggets met the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Friday evening.

The Nuggets lost their first five games of the new season by a score of 119-116, leaving them 2-3.

Russell Westbrook finished with five points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block while shooting 1/8 from the field and 0/3 from three-point range in 25 minutes.

Many NBA fans reacted to Westbrook’s performance.

@obeyquis: “Russell Westbrook being employed as a basketball player is still crazy”

@SkyedOKC: “Watch Russell Westbrook be the first to defend his teammate. How can anyone hate this guy?”

@crimcardinal: “Russell Westbrook is single-handedly the reason Denver is losing games.”

@TheWestWolfPod: “Russell Westbrook is doing a lot of little things in year 4. I’m really pleased that he’s finding ways to make a big contribution, as he always does.”

@thenamesvinny: “Nuggets need to take down Russell Westbrook immediately. It’s embarrassing to see him trying to play basketball.”

@HiNoteee: “It might be time for Russell Westbrook to retire. He still can’t shoot, his finishing at the rim is subpar, his handles are among the worst in the league, he’s bad at the free throw line, and he’s very turnover prone.

When you’re no longer effective in any way, it’s over.”

@JaIenWilsonMuse: “Russell Westbrook is one of the best teammates you can have by your side, he will support his guys every step of the way.”

The Nuggets will be back in action Saturday night when they host the Utah Jazz in Denver.
